Whit Johnston arrived in Manhattan in 1980 and still has not found his way out. Perhaps the only person to receive a finishing fund grant in video from The Kitchen while also holding down a job at Town and Country (as Assistant Editor for Art and Architecture), Johnston has had his work shown by the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum. '80 is his first novel. And not his last.
