Rakesh Satyal is a 2002 graduate of Princeton University, where he studied comparative literature and writing. He is currently an editor at HarperCollins Publishers, where he works with a wide variety of authors, including Paulo Coelho, Clive Barker, Armistead Maupin, and Paul Rudnick. He sings a popular cabaret show in New York City that has been featured on Page Six and in the New York Observer, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Time Out. He is also on the planning committee of the annual PEN World Voices Festival, and his writing has been featured in many anthologies and journals.
