David A. Nichols is a veteran of over 35 years in higher education as a teacher and administrator, including eleven years as an academic dean at Southwestern College in Kansas. His history degrees include a Master of Arts in History from Roosevelt University and a Ph.D. from the College of William and Mary. Nichols is an experienced workshop presenter and consultant in higher education management. He retired in 2003 to resume full-time historical research on President Dwight D. Eisenhower and civil rights.
